Paulo Fonseca, the manager of AC Milan, made it clear that he is willing to promote young players to the first team if the senior squad fails to meet expectations. This statement came after a training session on Wednesday, where several youth players from Milan’s Primavera and Futuro teams were present, indicating the manager’s willingness to give them a chance. Fonseca’s approach to youth development is well-known, as he has a history of trusting young talents throughout his managerial career.

One of the prominent young players that Fonseca has been nurturing is Francesco Camarda, a striker who has already made an impression by training regularly with the senior squad. Camarda’s inclusion in the first-team sessions was expected, but he was joined by a number of other promising talents during the training. Among the youth players who participated were Alex Jimenez and Davide Bartesaghi, both of whom are hoping to secure the left-back spot in the team. Additionally, players such as Silvano Vos, Mattia Liberali, Demirel Hodzic, and Chaka Traore were also involved.

Kevin Zeroli, another young talent who could have participated, was absent due to an injury, which prevented him from joining the session.

Although it is uncertain whether any of these youngsters will feature in AC Milan’s upcoming match, Fonseca has made it clear that if the senior team continues to underperform, he will not hesitate to give these young players a chance. His comments signal that the senior players have been given a “last warning,” and the manager is ready to make bold decisions, including promoting youth players, to shake things up and ensure that the team performs at the required level. The presence of the youth players in training is a clear indication of Fonseca’s commitment to giving them opportunities should the need arise.
