Barcelona secured a thrilling 3-2 victory at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, with substitute Ferran Torres scoring twice, including a decisive 85th-minute winner. The win lifted Barcelona to 15 points, putting them in second place with two games remaining in the group stage and on the verge of qualification.

The match saw an exciting second half with five goals. Dortmund came from behind twice thanks to Serhou Guirassy’s brace, but Barcelona’s resilience and Torres’s timely intervention ensured their victory. The hosts, now in ninth place with 12 points, failed to make a third comeback after Torres’s second goal, assisted by Lamine Yamal.

Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, praised his team’s performance, stating, “We can be very happy with what we have done.” He acknowledged the quality of Dortmund’s attacking play but noted Barcelona’s calm and solid response, despite conceding goals from their own mistakes. He expressed confidence in the team’s ability to improve, commending their efforts.

The match started with Barcelona controlling possession, with Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski creating early chances. Dortmund’s goalkeeper Gregor Kobel was kept busy as the visitors dominated possession, reaching nearly 70% in the first half. Despite Dortmund’s occasional counters, Barcelona looked the more dangerous team.

In the second half, Dortmund came alive. Guirassy’s initial goal in the 50th minute was ruled out for offside, but Barcelona responded quickly. Raphinha scored a well-executed goal in the 53rd minute, finishing off a swift counter-attack, and putting Barcelona in the lead. Dortmund responded with Guirassy’s penalty at the hour mark after he was fouled in the box.

After Torres’s rebound goal in the 75th minute, Guirassy equalized three minutes later, but Torres sealed the win with a brilliant through ball from Yamal. The match ended on a sour note for Dortmund, as defender Nico Schlotterbeck suffered an ankle injury in the final play.
