The Premier League Power Rankings for Matchweek 15 reflect a highly dynamic season with significant shifts across the table, showcasing both unexpected performances and disappointing struggles. With three matchweeks crammed into just over a week, the rankings offer an insightful snapshot of the rapidly changing terrain of English football.

At the bottom of the table, Southampton remain in dire straits, languishing at the bottom and looking unlikely to turn things around anytime soon. Ipswich Town, despite a valiant effort, suffered a last-minute defeat to Bournemouth and still search for their first home win of the season. Wolves have fallen back into trouble, plagued by defensive errors, while West Ham’s inconsistency at the back has intensified pressure on manager Julen Lopetegui. Crystal Palace, however, enjoyed a positive week with five points from their fixtures, seeing them climb two spots in the rankings.

In the middle of the table, Manchester United’s struggles continue, with back-to-back defeats exposing their defensive frailties, causing them to drop five places. Everton, on the other hand, had a crucial win against Wolves, moving up three spots. Leicester City, under new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, saw an improvement, moving up seven spots after a strong week. Aston Villa also saw their fortunes improve with back-to-back victories, rising four places. Nottingham Forest remained steady, holding their ground in 11th place.

The contenders section sees significant movement, with Tottenham dropping five spots after letting a 2-0 lead slip against Chelsea, compounded by poor performances against Bournemouth. Brighton and Hove Albion have also struggled recently, failing to win in their last three games. Newcastle United’s form has been troubling, with a heavy defeat to Brentford highlighting defensive issues. Brentford, however, are enjoying a surge, notably after their 4-0 win over Newcastle, moving up five spots. Manchester City, despite collecting four points in their last two games, remain vulnerable defensively.

At the top of the table, Fulham had a remarkable week, earning five points from their matches, and showcasing resilience against top teams like Tottenham and Arsenal. Bournemouth, with three consecutive wins, including a stunning display against Tottenham, have moved up ten places, proving they are genuine contenders for the top six. Arsenal, despite a solid week, saw their title aspirations slightly dented by a frustrating draw at Fulham. Liverpool, despite dropping points at Newcastle, remain close to the top, but Chelsea has been the standout performer, winning all three of their recent games. Under manager Enzo Maresca, Chelsea has been in flying form, closing the gap to Liverpool, with impressive performances from key players like Cole Palmer.
