Noussair Mazraoui has been named Manchester United’s Player of the Month for November, securing the honor with 55% of the fan vote. The Moroccan international triumphed over Amad Diallo, who garnered 23%, and goalkeeper Andre Onana, who received 21%. This is Mazraoui’s first Player of the Month award since joining United, and his performances throughout November were crucial to the team’s success. He played a vital role in maintaining United’s unbeaten record, contributing both defensively and offensively across various positions.

Mazraoui, 27, featured in all five of United’s November fixtures, showcasing his versatility by playing in three different roles. He started as a left-back in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea, where he was one of the standout performers. Later, he returned to his natural right-back position for the Europa League win over PAOK. In Van Nistelrooy’s final match in charge, Mazraoui again played at left-back, delivering a crucial cross that led to an own goal in a 3-0 victory over Leicester City.

After Ruben Amorim took over as head coach, Mazraoui adapted to a new role in Amorim’s 3-4-3 system, excelling as a right-sided center-back. His performance against Ipswich Town was commanding, and he received widespread praise for his spectacular assist to Rasmus Hojlund during United’s win over Bodo/Glimt. Mazraoui continued his fine form into December with another strong showing against Everton.

Despite being an Erik ten Hag signing, Mazraoui has flourished under Amorim’s leadership. The manager has spoken highly of Mazraoui’s qualities, describing him as the “future of our team” and stressing the need for more players with his mentality and skillset. Mazraoui’s win over fellow nominee Diallo, who had previously claimed the August award, marks a significant personal achievement for the versatile defender.
