Noussair Mazraoui has been named Manchester United’s Player of the Month for November, a well-deserved recognition for his impressive performances. This is the first such accolade for the Moroccan international since his summer move from Bayern Munich, and it comes after an unbeaten month for the Reds across all competitions. Mazraoui triumphed in a fan vote, beating stiff competition from Amad Diallo and Andre Onana.

Throughout November, Mazraoui displayed remarkable versatility and consistency, playing in a variety of positions. He started in all five matches during the month, and his adaptability was evident as he featured in three different roles. His standout performance came as a left-back in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, where he earned a Man-of-the-Match award. He then shifted to his more familiar right-back position for the Europa League win over PAOK, before returning to the left side in the 3-0 victory over Leicester City, where he assisted in the second goal, a Victor Kristiansen own goal.

Mazraoui’s international break was equally productive, contributing to Morocco’s dominant wins against Gabon and Lesotho. Under new manager Ruben Amorim, Mazraoui continued to impress. Amorim deployed him as a right-sided center-back, and Mazraoui stood out in a tough 1-1 draw with Ipswich. He saved his best performance for the final match of the month, playing a crucial role in United’s 3-2 comeback win against Bodo/Glimt, setting up the first goal for Rasmus Højlund.

Ruben Amorim expressed his satisfaction with Mazraoui’s performances, describing him as a “top player” who understands the game, is technically gifted, and excels both defensively and offensively. Amorim praised Mazraoui’s ability to control the tempo of the game, emphasizing that he is the “future of our team.”

Mazraoui’s Player of the Month award adds to a season of varied accolades, with different players winning the monthly honor so far, including Amad, Onana, and Alejandro Garnacho.
