Noussair Mazraoui has claimed his first Player of the Month award at Manchester United since joining the club from Bayern Munich in the summer. The Moroccan international beat tough competition from teammates Amad and Andre Onana to secure the prize.

His performances came during a strong month for the Reds, who remained unbeaten across five matches under two different managerial setups.

Mazraoui featured in all five games, showcasing his ability to adapt to various positions on the pitch. His versatility and reliability stood out as he switched between roles, proving to be a key asset for the team.

One of his standout moments came during the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, where he delivered a Man-of-the-Match performance while playing at left-back. In the Europa League win over PAOK, he returned to his usual position at right-back, helping United secure a crucial victory.

Mazraoui then shifted back to left-back for the match against Leicester City, where he played a significant role in creating the team’s second goal, which ended up being an own goal by Victor Kristiansen. That 3-0 victory marked the end of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s four-game stint as interim manager on a high note.

After the club fixtures, Mazraoui enjoyed a productive international break with Morocco. He contributed to Morocco’s dominant wins, helping the team thrash Gabon 5-1 and Lesotho 7-0. Upon his return to Manchester United, he continued to excel under new head coach Ruben Amorim.

Amorim used Mazraoui as a right-sided centre-back in the 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town. Despite the challenging nature of the game, Mazraoui stood out with his composed and commanding display.

The Moroccan saved his best for last in the month-ending thriller against Bodo/Glimt. United came from behind to win 3-2, with Mazraoui playing a starring role. He set up the first of Rasmus Hojlund’s two goals, showcasing his creative side and ability to contribute in attack.

Mazraoui’s consistency has been a highlight of his short time at Manchester United. Manager Ruben Amorim praised the 27-year-old’s performances in his recent press conference.

“He’s a top player because he understands the game,” Amorim said. “He knows how to attack, he’s very technical, very good defensively, and excellent in one-on-one situations.

“He’s a modern player. I think he’s the future of our team. When you think about him, you realize we need more players like Nous. Players who can control the tempo, are comfortable on the ball, and understand the game. I’m really happy with him.”

Mazraoui is the fourth different Player of the Month winner this season, following Amad, Onana, and Alejandro Garnacho.

His ability to perform consistently across multiple positions and adapt to different tactical roles has already made him an important figure in United’s squad. Fans and teammates alike will be eager to see how he continues to contribute in the coming months.
